My long career in reserve management puts me in a unique position to be a trusted guardian of our nation's financial future. I helped build the reserves. Naturally, I will do my utmost to ensure those reserves are wisely managed and used for our future.

I was born in Singapore and spent most of my professional life at MAS and GIC building up Singapore’s reserves. Singapore has given me so much. I want to thank the people of Singapore by coming forward.
